MARIO QUINTERO

Mario Quintero is a Pittsburgh-based producer, engineer, and mixer whose love for the music runs deeper than any technical rule or expensive piece of gear. From boombox-to-boombox overdubs to owning and operating San Diego's Black Box Studios, he has spent his career experimenting with recording techniques both new and old—an ethos he now brings to acclaimed records for Shiner, Pallbearer, Buñuel, and more. He's also the founder and guitarist of Spotlights, the heavy, atmospheric band on Ipecac Recordings that has toured with Deftones, Melvins, Quicksand, and Glassjaw—giving him a working artist's instinct on both sides of the glass.
